A continuously variable transmission (CVT) achieves smooth power output through the cooperation of two sets of variable-diameter conical pulleys and a high-strength steel belt. A hydraulic system adjusts the distance between the conical pulleys, changing the working radius of the transmission belt and achieving stepless variation of the transmission ratio. Unlike traditional gear transmissions, the CVT transmission ratio can be seamlessly switched between the minimum and maximum values, allowing the engine to operate within its efficient speed range, improving fuel efficiency and driving smoothness.

Structural Components
The core components of a CVT include:
Driving pulley assembly: Contains a movable conical disc and a fixed conical disc, with a hydraulic cylinder controlling the distance between them to change the contact radius of the transmission belt.
Driven pulley assembly: Similar in structure to the driving pulley assembly, it transmits power to the wheels through the steel belt.
Transmission belt: A high-strength steel belt or metal chain, composed of hundreds of steel plates and steel rings.
